On the 21st of May I went to Morocco with my friends Jacqui and Sam! It's somewhere I've wanted to go for a long time but Lee wasn't bothered about going so I didn't think I'd get there. But Sam and Jac and I wanted to go on an all inclusive holiday somewhere in the sun, so we booked to go to Morocco way back in like October or something. We paid it off monthly and all of a sudden it was time to go! Yes I hadn't been back from Rome for very long before I was off again, but oh well!
I set off early from home to the airport because I was worried about traffic and also because I'd booked the Drop and Go car park and I wasn't exactly sure where I had to go. But the traffic was fine and I got parked easily and got a shuttle bus to Terminal 2. I was in the terminal by about 10.15 so I got a coffee and sat outside to wait for Sam and Jac. Jac arrived first and we sat outside for a bit talking about whether we would need our jackets in Morocco or not, and then we met up with Sam.
We checked our bags in and went through security in about two seconds. We were inside the departure lounge by just after 11am. We decided to eat in Giraffe so we went there for a table. We got a mimosa each because you have to. I had nachos which were good. We sat there for ages as we had loads of time. We went into WHSmith for water and snacks and eventually made our way to our gate which wasn't as far as the one for Rome had been. We boarded the plane and took off about 2pm.
Both Sam and Jac were dozing for most of the flight so I read a lot of my book - The Women by Kristin Hannah. It was really good and I enjoyed it! We landed at 6pm ish. There's no time difference with Morocco so it was 6pm there too. We were staying in Agadir and it has an airport so we were there, quite close to our hotel. It is a tiny airport and someone directed us to the disability line so we got through quickly. We picked up our bags and went out to find our coach transfer to the hotel.
We were in the hotel by about 8.30pm. Our room was on the ground floor in a quiet block which was good. We dropped our bags and went up to the restaurant for something to eat. There was plenty of choice but a lot of it was meat, but I got stuff to eat anyway. And as we were all inclusive we could have drinks too. The all inclusive cocktails weren't half bad!
We were early to bed because we were tired from travelling! The air con in the hotel room wasn't great, but it wasn't as warm as we had feared anyway. I slept very well!
