Holiday In Morocco - Day 2

On the first full day of our holiday we got up and went for breakfast. My friends are both earlier risers than me so I knew we would be up quite early. I woke up naturally though which I much prefer to an alarm, and I got up and dressed and we headed to the buffet for breakfast. There was a lot to choose from and we found someone frying fresh pancakes which was very exciting so I got some of those. I also had some chocolate pudding and some cheese that was a bit like cottage cheese or ricotta.

We went out to the pool nearest our block at around 10.30 I'm guessing. It was just a rectangular pool but it was quieter round there with only a few kids. We managed to get a parasol to sit under as none of us wanted to get burned and we weren't sure how hot the Moroccan sun would be. It was warm, but not TOO hot. We went in the pool which was lovely and warm. I was wearing a new swimming costume that I got last year but had put away for holidays this year. It is a dip dye effect although you can't see that in the photo.

Around lunchtime we went to the big pool and sat on the terraced steps for a while as there were no sunbeds. Sam and I went in the big pool which was lush - it went really deep at one end and it had the shallow bit which was nice to sit on and relax for a bit. I can't remember if Jac came in that pool that day but I think no.

Around 4pm we sat in the bar for a bit and had a beer. There were snacks there too so we had some as we hadn't had any lunch. As you can see in one photo, there was cloud coming in off the sea which made it much less hot than it might otherwise have been. Which I'm not really complaining about! The complex was really lovely, though, so I took a few photos of that.

We got showered and watched some weird German soap opera and then went to the bar for a drink before food. There wasn't amazing vegetarian choices, so I kind of had to have bits of food rather than an actual meal. The house rose wine was pretty nice, though. I was wearing this Joe Brown's dress that I have only recently got - I love it and it was perfect for swanning about on holiday in. I had new chub rub shorts from Snag too, underneath, although you can't see them of course!

Here I am wearing contact lenses and my favourite sunglasses, in my new swimming costume

Having a beer

I was using the new bag I had bought in Rome, I just love it so much!

You can see the cloud had come in a bit then, we had no shadows at all!

Sunbathing on the terraced steps later, with the sun peeping through a bit

I liked this cactus against one wall, too

And here I am at 10pm in my dress and cardigan
